In the 22nd century, Youko, a reporter for the Private Eyes newspaper in Shambhala city, and her android partner Pete, who serves as her bodyguard and cameraman, pursue the elusive criminal known as Mr. X. Their investigation takes them to the Rainbow Tower at the TechnoLand amusement park, where Youko is captured, forcing Pete to confront the situation and disable the tower's central computer program to stop Mr. X from escaping.
