In a future where earthquakes and climate change have shattered Japanese society, some people survive in the overgrown remnants of civilization, while others reside in the isolated city of Atlas. A third group operates in the shadows, hacking the global economy from the internet. As the gap between social classes widens and natural disasters intensify, a determined girl named Kuniko steps forward to guide her people toward Atlas, a place touted as a utopia. However, the city's authoritarian leadership resists her efforts. Kuniko remains resolute, determined to force open Atlas’s gates, even as she begins to uncover that the city may be built on hidden truths and deception.
