In this version, Okabe does not receive a message from his future self because Mayuri asks Suzuha to stop depending on him to prevent a global conflict. Without the message, Okabe remains unaware of a key operation and fails to stop Kurisu's death and the larger war, setting up the events of *Steins;Gate 0*.
