A first-year high school student, Hiiragi, struggles with asserting himself and often agrees to others' requests to avoid conflict. On a summer day, while dealing with another such situation, he meets Tsumugi, an oni girl who has arrived in the human world to find her mother. Tsumugi acts on her own terms, contrasting sharply with Hiiragi’s hesitant nature. Strange snow begins to fall, marking the start of their journey.
