Zou no Inai Doubutsuen

A children's book, originally created by Ren Saito for his daughter, recounts real events involving the animals at Ueno Zoo during World War II. Two children learn about the zoo's history and later see the arrival of an elephant named Indira, a gift from India's prime minister in 1949.
