Yokoi works as a manga artist whose original stories fail to attract buyers, forcing him to take on night shifts delivering newspapers to afford rent. One day, a visitor named Saito-san arrives, claiming to be a fan and having traveled far to meet him. Yokoi notices that Saito-san perceives and experiences the world in ways that differ from most people.
