Dead Life

A man bitten by a zombie finds himself partially transformed but retains his memories and sense of self. His movements are sluggish, his appearance altered, and he experiences a strong desire to bite others. Despite these changes, he recalls personal details, such as the scent of someone he likes, and understands how to read. He also feels a responsibility to protect his friends. However, other intelligent zombies challenge this notion.
