At Kamome Academy, students tell stories about the Seven Mysteries, one being Hanako-san, a spirit believed to live in the third stall of the third-floor girls' restroom in the old building and fulfill wishes when called upon. Nene Yashiro, a high school student interested in the occult and longing for love, decides to investigate the legend. When she enters the rumored location, she encounters Hanako-san, but the figure she meets is not what she expected—Hanako-san is actually a male student.
