Kokou no Hito

A transfer student named Buntaro Mori draws attention on his first day at his new school due to his quiet and moody demeanor. His classmate Miyamoto offers to stop bothering him if he climbs to the top of the school, which Mori accepts and successfully completes, reaching the roof. Encouraged by this success, Mori becomes determined to climb a nearby mountain, ignoring warnings from others about the dangers of climbing alone. He is undeterred by the risks and becomes consumed by his newfound passion.
