Mardock Scramble

A woman named Rune Balot is targeted by Shell, a casino manager who removes and stores his memories due to an illness. After nearly being killed, Rune is given a chance to survive by a professor who transforms her into a cyborg capable of controlling electronics. She is paired with Oeufcocque, a self-aware universal tool. Together, they investigate Shell’s secrets. Rune moves beyond being a victim but must navigate the conflict between justice and revenge.
