A high school student from a poor background, Itsuki Tomonari, becomes involved in an attempted kidnapping of Hinako Konohana, a girl from a major Japanese business family. Hinako seems to be both intelligent and attractive, but in truth, she lacks basic life skills. Because of family obligations, she must maintain the image of a perfect young woman at school. To safeguard her, Itsuki assumes the role of her caretaker. Over time, Hinako begins to dote on Itsuki intensely—saying things like, "I don't want...... Itsuki to leave my side right now." The story explores a relationship that evolves beyond a typical caretaker and charge dynamic, centered on a girl who hides her true nature behind a polished exterior.
