ATRI: My Dear Moments

A sudden and unexplained rise in sea levels has submerged much of human civilization. A young man, who lost his mother and a leg in a past accident, returns to his rural hometown, now partially underwater, after a difficult life in the city. With no family left, he inherits a ship, a submarine, and debts from his grandmother, an oceanologist. To reclaim a sense of future, he accepts help from a debt collector named Catherine. Together, they search the ruins of his grandmother’s laboratory for a rumored treasure. Instead of riches, they discover a girl in a submerged coffin named Atri. She is a robot, yet her human-like appearance and emotions make her seem real. Atri expresses gratitude for being rescued, making a promise to the young man.
