Ginga Tetsudou 999: Hoshizora wa Time Machine

In the 21st century, Galaxy Express 999 prepares to leave Earth for Great Andromeda. While visiting a museum, Maetel and Tetsuro encounter a mysterious girl named Jula, who warns of humanity’s downfall before vanishing into space. They pursue her aboard the 999. Tetsuro locates Jula on asteroid Itokawa, a site previously explored by the Hayabusa probe. Jula disappears again, and her spacecraft crashes into an asteroid, plummeting toward Jupiter. Whether Tetsuro can save her remains uncertain. The meaning behind Jula’s warning about humanity’s fate is also unclear. The 999 travels through the solar system, moving across space and time.
