Ten students who did not pass Taki's audition form a group called "Team Monaka" to assist the concert band club's participants in the Kyoto Concert Band competition. While supporting the performers, they continue to improve their own playing and create monaka-shaped good-luck charms for their clubmates. Though they do not perform in the competition, they have important responsibilities to fulfill. On the day of the event, the members heading to the concert hall receive a surprising message. This is Team Monaka's story during a busy summer.
