Kujira no Chouyaku

A whale emerges from a still, glass-like ocean and glides through the sky for half a day. The piece uses 3D computer graphics exclusively for the unmoving ocean and glaciers, while the characters, whale, and ships are drawn by hand. This contrast draws the viewer into an imaginative setting. The work is described as an animated poem and a genuine fantasy. The production was a major effort, and the outcome is impressive.
