Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha

A third-grade student named Takamachi Nanoha hears a telepathic plea for help and finds an injured, talking ferret. The ferret is Yuuno, a mage and archaeologist from another world who has spread dangerous objects called Jewel Seeds across Earth. Weakened, Yuuno transformed into a ferret and asked Nanoha to help recover the seeds. He gave her a red jewel that allows her to transform and use magic to fight the monsters appearing as a result. However, other individuals are also seeking the Jewel Seeds, complicating their efforts.
