Daigo Asahina is a new firefighter assigned to Medaka Gumi #2, also known as Me Gumi. Early in his career, he performed a controversial rescue by throwing people off a rooftop to save them from an explosion, which, while well-intentioned, has raised concerns about his methods. When a fire erupts at Sengoku City's Concert Hall, a group from the Emergency Rescue Squad becomes trapped inside.
