A boy named Nils is known for being unkind to animals on his family's farm. After capturing a small goblin, he faces consequences when a magical transformation makes him tiny, prompting the animals to seek revenge. To escape, Nils rides a goose named Morten, who joins a migrating flock. They travel across Sweden as Nils searches for a way to return to his normal size. The film was completed in 1982 but was not shown in theaters at the time. It was first released for home viewing in 1995 and had its initial theatrical screening in January 2015, over thirty years after it was made.
