Ninjin wa Matte Kurenai

A graduate project by Lina Machida from Tokyo University of the Arts in 2023, this short animation features a girl who has formed a bond with a stray dog. The dog has long desired an apple, while carrots in the scene attempt to transform their surroundings into a seedbed. The girl eventually opens a box and departs with the dog, acknowledging the certainty of decay. The piece portrays a brief intersection of life and death.
