Kate, Emilico, and three other pairs transition into adult life following the completion of their "debut." The ongoing mystery surrounding the "Shadows House" remains unresolved when a new event takes place in the children's section. Suspected by the Star Bearers as potential troublemakers, Kate and Emilico look into a cloaked Shadow figure believed to be responsible.
