Sword Art Online: Ordinal Scale

A new virtual reality system called Augma is introduced in 2026 as a competitor to the NerveGear and Amusphere. Unlike those systems, it uses Augmented Reality rather than full-dive immersion, allowing players to remain conscious while participating. The Augma supports a variety of games, with "Ordinal Scale" being the most popular. It is an ARMMORPG designed specifically for the device. Several characters, including Asuna, have already been playing the game when Kirito joins them. Soon after, they begin to realize that the game may have more serious implications than initially assumed.
