Kanata and his companions face new challenges after returning from a perilous battle, as Noir, the amnesiac magus, begins to regain her memories and reverts to her previous identity, Mystere, who treats Kanata with condescension. During her past life as an artificial magus, Mystere detected a signal from Histoire, a mystical city. Meanwhile, Tokio vanishes from Rock Town while pursuing his past, uncovering startling truths. Kanata, along with Ellie and Ciel, travels to Histoire, but they are pursued by assassins from the hostile group Ideal. To achieve his goals, Kanata must confront the unsettling reality of Ideal and the potential betrayal by those close to him.
