Espers in Academy City are ranked from Level 0 to Level 5, with the latter being the most powerful. Only seven individuals in the city have reached Level 5, the top among them being Accelerator. After using most of his power to protect Last Order, a cheerful girl with abilities, he recovers in the hospital and lives a quiet life until he saves Estelle Rosenthal, a girl with a photo of Last Order. Estelle is connected to a dangerous group known as Disciplinary Action, which plans to use Last Order for a mission. As the group begins its operation and seeks the girl, Accelerator and Estelle must work together to protect Last Order and prevent the group's plans from succeeding.
