Tu is celebrated as the village protector after defeating Slash, though he lacks formal Kung Fu training and must learn the skills he inherited from a Grandmaster. After rescuing an injured warrior, he discovers it is Zhan, an evil figure seeking to conquer the martial arts world by obtaining a valuable gem from Lan of the Huo Clan. Tu fails to protect Lan and the Martial of Fire, leading to a harsh realization that his success was due to luck rather than skill. With support from Penny and Biggie, he begins training seriously. As Zhan nears his goal, Tu regains his strength and joins his allies to stop him. In the end, Tu defeats Zhan by mastering the True Harmony of the Martial of Fire and Water.
