The Mizuchi lineage has been targeted by Yokai for generations. Toru and Noboru Takagami are part of this lineage and, under their grandmother's guidance, are entrusted with a hidden weapon to defend against these creatures. They are joined by Tenko Kugen, a fox deity capable of shifting between male and female forms. Alongside Tenko is Ko, a shrine maiden who will reside with the brothers in their home. Their lives quickly become more complex.
