Xue Yu Xin

A Japanese-born individual named Sabara Megumi, later known as Zhang Rongqing, was born in Kyushu in 1933 and moved to Northeast China as a child. After Japan's defeat, he could not return home and lived with a landlord in Liaoning, working as a herder. In 1948, he enlisted in the People’s Liberation Army and participated in the Liaoshen and Pingjin campaigns, dedicating himself to the proletarian revolutionary cause. The work highlights his life and the history of a lesser-known faction within the Japanese People’s Liberation Army.
