Yami no Matsuei

Tsuzuki Asato is a 26-year-old shinigami who has held his position for over 70 years. His role involves ensuring the deceased remain in their designated realms. Despite his experience, he works in a poorly paid division and has struggled to maintain consistent partnerships, as shinigami typically work in pairs. Hisoka Kurosaki, a 16-year-old who is serious, sharp-tongued, and defensive, becomes his new and persistent partner. As they handle various cases, they uncover information about the serial killer Dr. Kazutaka Muraki. Their working relationship develops over time, though Tsuzuki's past—specifically the circumstances of his death—continues to haunt him.
