Ooshima struggles to create manga after her cat Sava passes away. A new kitten named Guu Guu arrives and helps her move past the grief, reigniting her motivation. Later, she receives a cancer diagnosis, which initially shatters her, but she gradually gains a renewed understanding of life and death.
