A powerful gang known as Mugen once ruled a Japanese town until they were opposed by the Amamiya Brothers, who were both willing and capable of challenging them. Eventually, Mugen disbanded and the Amamiya Brothers vanished. In their absence, five gangs—Sannou Hoodlum Squad, White Rascals, Oya High School, Rude Boys, and Daruma Ikka—formed an alliance called G-SWORD. They renamed the area SWORD, derived from the acronym of each group's name.
