Harumi Kazuhito finds the greatest pleasure in reading. He often spends time at a café, engrossed in books. One evening, a robbery occurs there, and despite not being a heroic person, Kazuhito intervenes and is fatally injured. He awakens later as a dog, now in the care of Natsuno Kirihime, a café patron from that night. Kirihime can somehow understand Kazuhito’s thoughts in his new form. She is known for her sadistic tendencies and a particular interest in scissors.
