A lonely boy navigates the bizarre and disturbing experiences of life with his eccentric family, whose members often die in shocking and darkly humorous ways. His coping mechanism is a collection of preserved body parts, both human and animal, which he adds to as each new tragedy occurs. The story is presented through a series of vignettes, each detailing a different incident or character. The first volume includes tales such as a preserved eye, a mirror that calls for happiness, a tattoo of a spider, a deformed fetus, a chicken's head, and a Baby Frankenstein. The second volume continues with entries like a red meat worm, a mysterious figure, a manhole cover character, a vivid wind, a deformed mass of flesh, and a white finger. The work blends elements of dark humor and grotesque imagery in a semi-autobiographical style.
