Mizutani Minato struggles to adapt at her new high school, where she lacks the close friendships she had in middle school and finds it difficult to connect with others due to her quiet nature. She unexpectedly becomes part of the school's astronomy club, which includes three students known for being odd and socially isolated. The group includes Aida Souji, a top student in the freshman class; Kousaka Ranko, both academically gifted and physically strong; and Yakigawa Yoichi. All three aspire to join NASA and explore space. The four club members rename themselves using the first letter of each name, forming "Soramiyo." Through her time with the club, Minato gradually gains confidence and learns the value of meaningful friendships.
