Taiyou no Mokushiroku

During the early 21st century, Japan suffers from a series of catastrophic earthquakes and volcanic eruptions, splitting the country in half and causing massive loss of life. The remaining population deals with economic collapse and occupation by U.S. and Chinese "aid forces." Genichiro Ryu, a highly adaptable boy, survives these conditions and promotes a message of relentless optimism, emphasizing that despite the destruction, the sky remains blue and the sun continues to shine.
