Homura Kamishiro is recognized as the world's most powerful mage, having defeated the demon king Typhon five years ago. Despite his heroics, he is now viewed as The Traitor and Fiend Summoner, accused of making a pact with inhuman entities. He enrolls in the 101st Training Platoon at New Tokyo Magic Academy. There, he is linked to Hoshikawa, the platoon's leader, who wears cowgirl-style clothing, through a mysterious promise he made in the past.
