A man named Amamiya Hiroto experiences continuous misfortune, which leads to his death while attempting to save a stranger during a school trip. After dying, he encounters a god of reincarnation who seeks to rebirth the deceased, including the girl he tried to save. Hiroto is reborn again but continues to suffer, beginning with an overwhelming amount of Mana. His second life ends tragically, and the god informs him of an unavoidable third reincarnation. To prevent further suffering, the god curses him before rebirth. In his third life, Hiroto is born as a dhampir, a half-vampire, half-dark elf. Determined to avoid another short life, he resolves to use the only remnants from his past lives: his Death Magic and his vast Mana.
