A mysterious "castle" appears at the foot of Mt. Fuji, releasing numerous Youkai. Facing a labor shortage due to a shrinking population, the government attempts to incorporate the Youkai into society, resulting in growing tensions between humans and Youkai. In response, the JSDF, seeking to increase their role in public security, establishes a covert Youkai tactical unit called the "Tachikawa Task Force" to handle the emerging societal issues.
