His favorite animators are [Tetsuya Takeuchi](https://anilist.co/staff/101404), [Takahiro Kishida](https://anilist.co/staff/101403) and [Katsuhiko Kitada](https://anilist.co/staff/127730). Watching [FLCL](https://anilist.co/anime/227) in high school, he fell in love with animation and wanted to become a director. [Toshiyuki Tsuru](https://anilist.co/staff/106123)'s episodes and openings of [Naruto](https://anilist.co/anime/20) were the turning point for him, and he started in the animation industry as an assistant director at Toei. He works mainly on [ONE PIECE](https://anilist.co/anime/21) and pays a lot of attention to lighting and animation. As an animator, he often corrects timing and animates parts of his episodes.
