Chikyuu ga Ugoita Hi

On January 16, 1995, Tsuyoshi Takahashi, a focused student at Shiokaze elementary, is more concerned with achieving top grades than with his relationships. His classmate Miho hopes he will value those around him, while Kazu, a fellow student who is bedridden, lives nearby. On January 17, the 1995 Kobe earthquake, measuring 6.9 on the Richter scale, causes over 6,000 deaths and leaves 300,000 homeless. In the wake of the disaster, Tsuyoshi experiences the death of a friend and helps Kazu deal with a personal loss, prompting a shift in his priorities and a growing awareness of others' suffering.
