In 2071, the Far East is dominated by powerful beings known as aragami, life forms composed of Oracle cells that began consuming all life on Earth in the 2050s. These entities are highly adaptable and resistant to traditional weapons, leading to the collapse of urban civilization and the steady decline of the human population. In response, a new type of weapon called God Arcs was developed, which contain Oracle cells and are used by a specialized group of fighters. These individuals, known as God Eaters, form an elite force tasked with combating the aragami in a world where humanity's survival is at stake.
