Two teenagers meet at a research facility and develop feelings for each other, unaware that their parents are also growing close. After the adults marry, the pair faces the possibility of becoming stepsiblings and chooses to escape by seeking a new life in another dimension. Dimension-hopping is a known practice in their reality, though it carries consequences. Their journey raises the question of whether a suitable universe exists for them and what price they must pay to find it.
