Demons nearly responsible for destroying the world are brought back to life. To stop them, a shrine maiden named Shion must perform a sealing ritual. She possesses the ability to seal demons and foresee human deaths. Naruto is assigned to protect her, but Shion predicts his death. To avoid this fate, Naruto must leave her unprotected, which would allow the demon to kill her and threaten global destruction. Naruto attempts to defy the prediction but fails, ultimately dying without changing the outcome.
