A high school student spends much of his time imagining scenarios and evaluating girls with twin-tails, eventually forming a club centered around the hairstyle. When extraterrestrial beings attack Earth and take control of all twin-tails, he is recruited by a mysterious woman to join the resistance. Using a twin-tail-based transformation, he becomes a fighter known as Tail Red and joins two other twin-tailed warriors to battle an alien group called Ultimegil. This organization seeks to take over Earth and extract a form of spiritual energy from its inhabitants. The trio works together to stop the invaders and protect the twin-tails they value.
