One of four anime selected for the "2011 Young Animator Training Project," it received 38 million yen (approximately US$470,000). This funding was part of a larger 214.5 million yen (US$2.65 million) grant from Japan's Agency for Cultural Affairs, given to an animation labor group that supports on-the-job training for young animators. The project, continuing from the previous year, allocated most of its budget to studios involved in training new talent.
