On a rainy spring day, a first-year high school student named Midori Saezima sees a tall, attractive classmate helping a stray cat. She falls for him instantly, unaware of his name. After returning to school three days into summer vacation due to illness, she discovers she has been nominated for the student council. Following several awkward incidents, both she and the boy she admires, Akira Sudo, are chosen as council members. As the inaugural student council of a new high school, they begin establishing new traditions, leading to a complex and emotionally layered relationship.
