Five companions embark on a mission to restore harmony to a troubled Earth by seeking the Celestial Realm of Buddha. One of them, Miko, was born with a horn and trained as a deity on Mt. Kongo. As the imperial government causes widespread suffering, the group sets out on a 33-year journey to reach the realm of the Father of the North Star. Their path is perilous, as they enter the domain of immortal gods who dominate the heavens. To advance, Miko must confront these deities in battle. Along the way, they discover that the gods are not free from imperfections and human-like desires. Miko's determination to save his loved one, Kagami, leads him to understand that balance between divine turmoil and human resilience is essential. He learns that life continues as one ends, and genuine peace is necessary for people to glimpse the divine.
