A substance known as "Patia" provided humans with an ideal energy source, leading to global self-sufficiency in food and fuel. As a result, trade and transportation declined, and civilization ceased to progress. Genetically altered plants now dominate the land, making travel difficult. A city leader named Cient embarks on a journey to recover the lost "Patia" technology, accompanied by his daughter Ruri. When Ruri becomes separated from Cient, she is attacked by a large humanoid weapon from the past. She is rescued by Tekuni, a girl traveling the world to train as a "Wazabito" fighter.
