Wizard Barristers: Benmashi Cecil

A specialized police unit handles violations of magical laws, but those accused of magical crimes are entitled to legal representation. The Benmashi, or Wizard Barristers, provide this defense, combining magical skill with legal knowledge. At seventeen, Cecil Sudo is the youngest member of the Butterfly Law firm. The role involves long hours, legal research, collaboration with supernatural legal assistants, and negotiations with demonic opposing counsel. As a young Benmashi begins to realize her abilities may have a stronger magical component than previously thought, she faces new challenges beyond the courtroom. Each case becomes a test of magical and legal expertise as the attorney hones her skills in defensive spellcraft.
