Barakamon

A young, well-mannered calligrapher relocates to a remote island in western Japan, unaccustomed to country living. Known as "Sensei," he struggles to adapt to the unfamiliar environment and lifestyle. A lively local girl named Naru takes it upon herself to guide him through the challenges of island life. Their dynamic forms the heart of a lighthearted story about a city-dweller learning from and bonding with the warm, welcoming people of the island.
