Dragon Drive

Reiji Oozora struggles with school and lacks confidence. Maiko Yukino, his friend, offers to share her notes in exchange for him accompanying her to a hidden location where a virtual reality game named Dragon Drive is played. Reiji joins and receives a dragon, the smallest and weakest in the game, which he names Chibi. Shortly after, he and Maiko face off against Daisuke, a classmate with feelings for Maiko. Reiji initially flees but Chibi unexpectedly powers up and defeats Daisuke's larger dragon. Encouraged, Reiji becomes hooked on the game. A staff member named Agent L notices Chibi's unusual strength and invites them to a training area, explaining the game's goal is to unlock a dragon's true potential. A mysterious girl then appears and takes them to a magical world under threat from a group called RI-ON. Reiji and Chibi are revealed to be key to stopping them, marking the start of their journey.
