Aaron Browning, a struggling teenager from Ohio, experiences a dramatic journey from juvenile detention to the heights of fame. While incarcerated, he meets Fire Wolf, a rebellious delinquent with a passion for music and a talent for playing. Inspired by their connection, Aaron relocates to Detroit, where he immerses himself in the city's industrial and underground music culture. He forms a band named Fire! to express his emotions and energy. As the band gains popularity, Aaron becomes entangled in the excesses of the time, including drugs, sex, and the cultural impact of the Vietnam War, reflecting the turbulent nature of his rise and the cost of his pursuit of freedom.
